Opening a dashboard
This describes what a Loan Data Manager experiences when working with analytics in the BackOffice.
Prerequisites
- The user is logged in to the BackOffice portal.
- The user has the Loan Data Manager role.
- The HES LoanBox deployment is connected to a Metabase instance (set up once by the platform administrator).
Steps
Step 1. Open the Analytics area
The user navigates to the Analytics area in BackOffice → the portal displays the list of dashboards available to view.
Step 2. Pick a dashboard
The user clicks the dashboard they want to view → the portal opens the dashboard inside the page, embedded directly in the BackOffice.
Step 3. Interact with the dashboard
The user reads charts, applies any filters offered by the dashboard, and reviews the figures → all interactions happen inside the embedded dashboard. No data is stored in HES LoanBox; nothing changes in the system as a result of viewing.
Step 4. Leave or switch dashboards
The user navigates away or selects a different dashboard from the list → the previous viewing link is no longer needed and stops working shortly afterwards. Opening the same dashboard again issues a new viewing link automatically.
Result: The user can view up-to-date analytics for the chosen area (portfolio, applications, collections, etc.) without leaving the BackOffice or needing a separate Metabase account.
