Overview and definitions
This document covers how a loan application is created and submitted on the LoanBox platform. It covers three questions:
- What is Customer onboarding / the Application process in the system.
- Ways to submit an application (Borrower Portal, Back Office, Agent Portal, Agent invitation to a lead).
- The detailed, end-to-end flow of the application submission process, including every step, check, integration, and form field, with notes on which fields appear depending on product group settings and borrower type.
Throughout this document:
- Product group is the system’s name for a configurable lending offering. A product group defines which loan types, amounts, terms, forms, documents, and additional data blocks are used for applications made under it (see the Product groups and products page).
- Borrower type is either Individual (a natural person) or Legal Entity (a company). The platform is configured per deployment for one type only.
