Overview and definitions

The Borrower Portal is a self-service web application that gives borrowers — both individual persons and legal entities — full visibility into their relationship with the lending platform. Through the portal, borrowers can apply for loans, monitor application status, manage active loans, track transaction history, and submit loan modification requests. All actions are strictly scoped to the authenticated borrower’s own data; no cross-borrower access is possible.

The portal is one of four user-facing channels on the LoanBox platform. It is designed specifically for end customers and operates independently from the Back Office and Agent Portals. Each borrower has a dedicated account in the Borrower identity realm, which keeps their credentials and access rights completely separate from internal staff accounts.

The platform supports two borrower types, depending on the deployment configuration: individuals and legal entities (companies). Both types have access to the same portal modules, although the information collected during onboarding differs between them.
